Uncle Noah Brain Jr. Analog Button Situation

This is the view of the control surface. The fader on the left is CC1, the blue twist pot to its right is CC2, the blue twist pot on the right is CC7, and the fader on the right is CC8. The blue button is CC3, yellow CC4, green is CC5, and red is CC6.
The gray buttons are digital buttons 1-16, starting at the top left and moving across to the right.

Here is the screen in the Brain V2 Config utility, in case I’m missing something there.

Here is the whole wiring as it stands - It is hard to get a photo of the connections on the board, but you will have to trust me that they are all there. On the analog block, I have followed the convention of Red is +, Yellow is #, and Blue is -

Here I have isolated the red button wiring. The leads from the buttons are initially black and white, but then I soldered colored wire to match my analog conventions. White becomes Red (+) and Black becomes Yellow (#) and Blue (-). The resistor is also visible here. I covered all my soldering with heat-shrink tubing to avoid shorts.

Here is a look at the red button, removed from the board so you can see how the wiring works.

Here are the resistors that I am using - 10K Ohm, 3W.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. The blue light stays on when the analog buttons are pressed, but signal only comes from them about 1 in every 50 button pushes, and both the on and off signal seem to have a really horrible lag.
