Continued effort to connect digital buttons to my Brain Jr. analog block

All 4 buttons that I am looking to use are set up identically. I have tested all 4 in all combinations and have the same behavior, so I am ruling out a hardware failure on the part of the button switches, wires, or solder points.

Button

Here we see the white wire and black wire coming from the button.

Wire Split/Solder

Here we see the black wire soldered to a yellow wire, and soldered to a NTE Electronics, Inc. 1/8W 10K Ohm resistor (There is clear shrink tubing around the soldering to protect it). Keeping with the color conventions of the analog pots on the project, red (button side 1) goes to positive, yellow (button side 2) goes to the wipe, blue (button side 2, post-resistor) goes to negative.

This is the packaging of the resistors I am using, in case any info here helps.

Here we see the extended wires plugged into the Brain Jr. analog block. The only difference from the previous setup here is that I have moved the buttons to spots 13, 14, 15, and 16 on the Brain Jr. to make things a little easier on me. Again, here we see red (button side 1) goes to positive, yellow (button side 2) goes to the wipe, blue (button side 2, post-resistor) goes to negative.

I have also uploaded the video of me testing the buttons with the Livid Brain V2 Configure utility to YouTube - it can be viewed here:
